A Little Bit About The Teacher...

My name is Brynn Hewitt and I am from Alta Loma, CA, but currently live in San Diego.  I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCSD with a B.A. in Mathematics/Secondary Education and a minor in The Study of Religion.  During my time as an undergrad I was able to do a bit of traveling to Rome, Italy and Malawi, Africa.  I went to Italy to study "Math in Rome", and in Malawi I worked with Children of the Nations, International (www.cotni.org).  Both of these trips made a huge impact on my life and have sparked my interest in seeing the rest of the world.  I also spent my senior year working as a ninth grade math tutor and apprentice geometry teacher at a public high school, which I loved!

Currently I am pursuing a Masters of Education and a Single Subject Credential in Mathematics at UCSD, and I plan on using this to become a math teacher.  For the 2011-2012 school year, I will be student teaching an Algebra 1 course at MMHS in San Diego.

Anybody who knows me knows that I have a weird love for and obsession with mathematics.  But other than that, my interests include film photography, cooking, baking, reading and writing.  I'm also down to play ping pong.  You name the time and place.
